The revolution in airline travel and hospitality was touched off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who combined them with the software industry to produce new procedures. His career highlights include time-saving computer programs, airplane safety improvements, and he’s even involved in designing luxury houses.
It could be predicted, however, that given his heritage he was certain to rise to prominence. The family traces its antecedents as long ago as the time of Rome’s glory and proudly boasts a diverse background. The maternal line originates from Germany and Scotland. The paternal line, on the other hand, were born in England and Luxembourg, which is where they emigrated from in the late nineteenth century.
After they arrived in America, they still strove to rise to the top. Nicholas, along with his six siblings, was born to a father who made a living as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who was a practicing nurse. He would spend for many years in towns across several states; Virginia, Missouri, Texas and Arizona. What did Bredimus do to capitalize on his upbringing and education? He would soon embark on a series of respected jobs, all working with big airlines. Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest — these businesses would all at various times name him as a vice president. Most noteworthy, even considering this, is his achievement as an inventive software designer working with the airline industry. He is highly respected for a project for US Airways, his aircraft maintenance computer programs that you will now find being used by most air travel companies. Of course, this was only one of his key developments for airlines. The reservation programs he invented are on their way to becoming as commonly used as the aforementioned software, and the hotel booking program he designed enabled a great number of hotels to migrate to a pc based system. And next came QuikTix, an online, networked approach to ticketing which was an industry first.
He parlayed these successes into positions unconnected to software development. Responsible roles with American Airlines and American Express were to come, and as you may know he founded a company of his own seventeen years ago. You ask if he is still active? Of course — his prowess is still very much called upon and at the ready in spite of his having left prior interests behind. Presently, his inventiveness is seen in luxurious condos boasting many of the cutting edge environmentally friendly and smart technologies on the planet. That untiring drive we have investigated here just does not stop anytime soon.
