Oldtime SciFi Fansite Interviews Fantasy TV Star
Science fiction fansite Xenite.Org just published an exclusive interview with Craig Horner, star of Legend of the Seeker. Xenite has been publishing fan articles on the Web since 1997, making it one of the oldest Websites around and one of the oldest science fiction and fantasy sites around. More than one studio has asked the site to help promote its films and shows. But the connection between Xenite and Legend of the Seeker is a little closer than just fansite and television show.
The domain takes its name from Xena: Warrior Princess. Fans of the TV show voted to call themselves Xenites and so Xenite.Org took its name from the fandom it was originally part of. Although Xena is no longing ruling the airwaves Xenite.Org has published content about Andre Norton, J.R.R. Tolkien, Star Wars, Stargate, and dozens more topics. It has even ventured into culinary tastes with a special section on white cheese dip.
Legend of the Seeker is produced by Ghost House Pictures, or Sam Raimi and his bud Rob Tapert. Raimi and Tapert brought Xena to the world. In fact, Tapert married Xena star Lucy Lawless. Xenite.Org operates the Science Fiction Forums at SF-Fandom, where Raimi fans and Xena and Hercules geeks still talk about the two most popular syndicated shows of the 1990s.
Fans can read the Craig Horner interview on Xenite.Org and then hop over to an SF-Fandom blog to read “On interviewing Craig Horner”, the story behind the story.
