10 Annoying Facts of MySpace

As MySpace is finding its way among teenagers, many people found it more and more annoying at the same time, some even to the point of deleting their MySpace accounts. Ten most-hated facts about MySpace among its users are listed below:

  1. After writing a wall post for five minutes, you found it gone by clicking the post button due to constant website malfunctions.
  2. You don’t log onto MySpace very often as one might suspect, even when you do, the only thing you would do is to delete spam friend requests from nude webcam chicks and most of the times they are not even real.
  3. You receive 2 marriage proposals on average a day from some guy in Africa.
  4. You always waste time on clicking “return to MySpace profile” button because of pop-out ads.
  5. You really hate it when Lucy sticking out from one millions of friends list just to change her stupid profile picture.
  6. When the MySpace profile of your friend is an inactive tag at the time your boss is around, the music suddenly blasting out just give you away.
  7. Your eyes are bleeding after visiting someone’s messy homepage with crazy design and fonts flying around.
  8. From time to time, you are forced to look at intrusive banner ads and the thing your actually are looking at is totally blocked.
  9. Your other contact details are not allowed to be posted on MySpace, which means you can only contact your friends using its instant message or email system exclusively.
  10. Inconsistent MySpace Layouts look.

Although I’ve been experiencing most of the annoying facts myself on MySpace, the fact that most of my not-so-picky friends still use it to keep in touch is holding be back to say goodbye to MySpace. If I can be guaranteed that most of my friends would choose Facebook over MySpace, I wouldn’t hesitate even a tiny bit to delete my MySpace account.

One thing I’ve been wondering is that are MySpace or Facebook still the place that I want to leave my profile with. Other than providing a tool for us to track down friends who we haven’t talked with for a really long time, social networks such as MySpace and Facebook don’t really have many other practical functions. The ever-accelerating monetization process has shifted the original cause of this kind of social networking websites.
